Upon arrival in Kochi, you will be welcomed by our Pierce & Leslie colleague who will escort you to your hotel and help you to check-in.

Day 2
After breakfast, your guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel to explore the diverse religious and cultural influences that have shaped Kochi.
Begin in the Heritage Zone, walking through narrow cobbled lanes lined with architecture reflecting centuries of cultural exchange. Continue to the Dutch (Mattancherry) Palace originally commissioned by the Portuguese for the Raja of Kochi. Visit the historic Jewish Synagogue, one of the oldest in India, located in the atmospheric Jewish Quarter, or “Jew Town.”
Enjoy lunch at an experimental fine-dining restaurant specialising in contemporary Kerala cuisine. After lunch, return to your hotel to relax.
In the evening, attend a private Kathakali dance performance at a local theatre – an evocative classical dance-drama traditionally performed before a lit oil lamp before, returning to your hotel.

After breakfast, depart on a scenic drive to the Alappuzha boat jetty (approximately 1.5 hours, excluding stops). On arrival, board your private deluxe houseboat for a leisurely journey through Kerala’s famed backwaters.
After lunch, disembark and drive back to Kochi (approximately 1.5 hours, excluding stops), returning to your hotel.

Today, you will be met by our colleague in the hotel lobby, and he will escort you to your onward connection - whether to the airport for your departing flight or to the port for embarkation.
