Wildlife Trail with Himanshu Bagde

Arrive in Mumbai. Upon arrival, you will be met by our Peirce & Leslie colleague who will escort you to your hotel and help you to check-in.

Early this morning, you will be met by our Peirce & Leslie colleague who will assist you to check-in for your flight to Nagpur.

On arrival in Nagpur, you will be met by your wildlife expert, Himanshu Bagde and escorted to a local restaurant for lunch.

Renowned wildlife expert Himanshu Bagde, who is a leading tiger tracker and a nature interpreter, will be your companion and guide through this fascinating and exhilarating adventure. This tour with Himanshu will lead you through the Pench, Kanha and Bandhavgarh National Parks in Central India - a tiger spotter’s dream.

After lunch, you will drive to Pench (approximately 2.5 hours, excluding stops). On arrival, you will check-in to your resort.

Twice during the day – early in the morning and again late in the afternoon, you will be taken for “game drives” inside Pench National Park.

This morning, you will be taken for another “game drive” inside Pench National Park. You will then return to your resort for breakfast.

Later in the day, you will take a nature walk with your guide nearby.

After breakfast, you will drive to Kanha (approximately 4.5 hours, excluding stops). On arrival, you will check-in to your resort.

In the evening, you may like to watch a presentation on the history and wildlife of National Parks in Central India, which is conducted by the hotel’s resident naturalist.

Early in the morning, you will be taken for a “game drive” inside Kanha National Park.

After breakfast, you will take a walking/cycling tour to visit a local village to see the lifestyle of Baiga Tribe. The lives of Central India’s native Gond and Baiga tribes have been intertwined with the forest for generations.

This will be followed by a visit to Kanha Museum of Life & Art. The museum showcases Gond and Baiga traditional paintings that draw inspiration from the forests and wildlife around. You will then return to your resort.

Tonight, you will take a “night safari” inside Kanha National Park. 

Early in the morning, you will be taken for a “game drive” inside Kanha National Park.

You will then return to your resort for breakfast.

In the afternoon, you will get the opportunity to interact with one of the members of a leading NGO (WWF- World Wildlife Fund) as well as the forest officials. This interaction will help you to understand the conservation methods adopted by the Indian Forest Department.

After breakfast, you will drive to Bandhavgarh (approximately 4.5 hours, excluding stops). On the way, you will make brief stops at the famous Narmada Ghat at Mandla Town and Fossils National Park at Ghugua.

You will reach Bandhavgarh by evening. On arrival, you will check-in to your resort.

Twice during the day – early in the morning and again late in the afternoon, you will be taken for “game drives” inside Bandhavgarh National Park.

You will then return to your resort for breakfast.

Later in the day, you may like to interact with an NGO - Corbett Foundation, or play a friendly football or cricket match with the locals (subject to availability).

During the early morning hours, you may like to take a nature walk with your guide. Alternatively, you can take a cycling tour. You will then return to your hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast, you will drive to Jabalpur’s airport (approximately 04 hours, excluding stops) where; you will be met and assisted by our Peirce & Leslie colleague to check-in for your flight to Delhi.

On arrival, you will be met by our colleague and escorted to your hotel, where he will assist you to check-in.

The morning`s sightseeing will begin with a visit to Humayun’s Tomb which is the earliest example of Mughal architecture in India.

You will then drive to Old Delhi where you will take an exclusive cycle-rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of the 300-year-old Chandni Chowk market. Your cycle rickshaw will pull up at the Jama Masjid, believed to be the largest mosque in India as well as Shah Jahan’s last architectural venture.

You will then return to your hotel driving through Rajpath or “King’s Way” and the wide tree-lined avenues of New Delhi, which served as the capital city for the former British Empire.

After breakfast, you will drive to Agra (approximately 04 hours, excluding stops). To avoid traffic, we suggest leaving at 08:00 hours.

On the way, you may like to visit Swaminarayan Akshardham temple, a Hindu house of worship and a spiritual and cultural campus dedicated to devotion.

Alternatively, you can visit The Wildlife SOS Bear Rescue Center which was started to rescue “dancing bears”.

On arrival in Agra, you will check-in to your hotel.

Late in the afternoon, you will visit the stunning Taj Mahal, a mausoleum and a symbol of the enduring love of Emperor Shah Jahan for his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died during childbirth in 1631.

Today, you will have the option of visiting the Taj Mahal at sunrise. Alternatively, you could choose to lie in.

After breakfast, your vehicle and guide will be at your disposal for shopping. Agra is renowned for its exquisite handicrafts and other art works and this may be an opportunity to satiate your inner-shopper. Alternatively, you could just relax in the hotel.

After lunch, you will drive to Delhi`s International Airport (approximately 4.5 hours, excluding stops).

On arrival, you will be met by our Peirce & Leslie colleague who will help you to check-in for your homeward bound flight.
